About the Artist

I'm Lori Marshall, artist, rockhound, and the heart and soul behind ZenWrockz. I've been handcrafting wrapped stone art for approximately six years, and in that time what began as a spark of curiosity discoverd online has grown into a full creative practice rooted in intention, earth wisdom, and a deep love for the Pacific Northwest.

A Spark from the Earth

Six years ago, I came across the art of wrapped stones for the first time and something in me immediately recognized it as my own. The combination of natural stone, leather cord, and deliberate knotwork felt like a language I'd alway known but never had words for. I picked up my first rock, wrapped my first cord, and haven't stopped since.

Rooted in the Pacific Northwest

Living in Bellingham, Washington, I’m surrounded by one of the most breathtaking landscapes on earth. The rivers, the beaches, the ancient forests, they’re not just a backdrop for my work; they’re the source of it. Many of my stones are handpicked from Pacific Northwest beaches, carried home with care and wrapped with the memory of where they came from. When you hold one of my Wrockz, you’re holding a piece of this place.

Wrapped with Intention

Every wrap I create has a name and a meaning. The Circle of Life, Four Directions, Prosperity, Strength, Gratitude, Grounding, each one is an invitation to connect with something larger than ourselves. I believe rocks are the pages in the history book of the earth. They carry the wisdom of ages, and it’s my honor to help that energy find its way into people’s homes, hands, and hearts.
My mission is simple: to harness the timeless wisdom and energy of the earth and share it with the world. Each piece leaves my studio wrapped with the energy of Love, Peace, and Tranquility, and I hope you feel that the moment it arrives in your hands.

Where You Can Find My Work

My Wrockz are available through my Etsy shop and here on ZenWrockz.com. Select gallery pieces can also be found at the Whatcom Museum Gift Shop and Chuckanut Bay Art Gallery Gift Shop in Bellingham. My work has been shown at Jansen Art Center, Chuckanut Bay Art Gallery, Dakota Arts, Whatcom Allied Arts, and Whatcom Museum.
I’m also completing my first book, "The Art of Wrapping Rocks: Wrapping with Intention, Energy and Purpose" a visual guide to the practice I love, filled with step-by-step tutorials, personal stories, and the symbolism behind every wrap. It’s been a true labor of love, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
Thank you for being here. I’m so glad our paths crossed.
